INDIA DAY 2009-Madison, Wis.
A video report by Dennis Alfred Pascual
On August 15, 2009, the Indian community of Greater Madison, led by Association of Indians in
America-Wisconsin Chapter, celebrated India's Independence Day at a new venue. For the first time, India
Day of Madison was held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., just in front of the City-County Building, in
between the scenic Monona Terrace and the State Capitol. The weather was very warm, but the
performers did their numbers beautifully and enthusiastically, as they knew they were celebrating a
historical moment in India. Below is the video that Asian Wisconzine prepared for our readers. Enjoy!
