The Asian American Student Association at the Madison Area Technical College (MATC) presented their
annual Asian Cultural Expo at MATC's Cafeteria on April 9. To celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage
Month, the Asian American students, with a lot of support from the MATC leadership, presented dances
and songs from different Asian countries/ethnic grouping. Among the performers were community
volunteers from the Hmong community and Nepali community. There were also songs from a Pakistani
student, a Nepali woman, a rap number from a Hmong artist; a fashion show; and a modern dance from
a Nepali boy. There were tables for arts exhibit and sample foods from Asia. Below is a video summary of
