SPECIALIST
JAC: 10-04030
This position serves as a project leader for the development and maintenance of
large, complex information systems, and is responsible for ensuring the
continued successful maintenance and enhancement of these systems. The
project leader is also responsible for the ongoing coordination and review of the
work of other systems and programmer analysts, including assigning work and
reviewing work products, assisting management in planning, preparing reports
of a technical nature, participating on agency committees, maintaining proficiency
in computer software and hardware, and training junior programmer/analysts.
Starting pay is between $53,793 and $88,758 per year, depending on
experience and qualifications, plus excellent benefits.
Knowledge Required: Proficient knowledge of mainframe applications
development using COBOL, CICS, JCL, IDMS, IBM DB2 SQL; complex multi-tier
web applications; information systems concepts, principles, practices, and
techniques.
