This career opportunity, IS Enterprise Systems Development Services Specialist, is
located downtown Madison, WI.
Job Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Financial Applications Section Chief, in the
Division of Enterprise Technology (DET), this position is responsible for providing an
advanced level of technical expertise for planning, development, implementation and
administration of applications and support services that have statewide impact. This
includes the research, standardization, deployment, administration, and support of all
relative tools associated with a particular application, customer or client. This includes
analyzing, designing, planning, and building state of the art applications, tracking
emerging technologies, researching new products, and planning for future systems on
a proactive basis for internal and enterprise-wide applications. This Senior Application
Leader is responsible for the development, installation, and maintenance of IT Billing
Systems. This position is responsible for a highly advanced and complex statewide IT
cost recovery system for DET, which handles a diverse demand of IT services. These
systems impact nearly all state agencies.

Very well qualified candidates will have experience analyzing enterprise business and
technology issues in a government organization or large corporation. Very qualified
candidates will be able to provide an advanced level of technical expertise for planning,
development, implementation, and administration of applications and support services
that have statewide impact. Very qualified candidates will possess research,
standardization, deployment, administration, and support skills associated with a
particular application, customer, or client. Very qualified candidates will successfully
support Billing Applications. Candidate must be knowledgeable using Agile Software
Development Methodology. Candidates must have strong technological skills as stated
in the position description.
