Department of Administration, Division of Enterprise Technology, is seeking an IS
Enterprise Technical Services Specialist; ITSM Tool Manager to work in Madison.

Job Duties:
The primary responsibility of this position is to function as the in-house technical
expert on DET’s IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, which includes HP UCMDB,
HP Asset Manager, and HP Service Manager. This includes supporting the server,
database and applications which make up the ITSM tools, as well as handling
upgrades to the tools and debugging any issues which may occur. Additional
responsibilities include developing, maintaining and debugging the data links
between the various tools (example: pulling data from Asset Manager into UCMDB
and then importing into Service Manager) and the links from other data sources
into or out of the ITSM tools (example: pulling server data from VirtualCenter into
UCMDB). This position will help evaluate potential data sources, plan and
implement the links to the data sources, and test and debug the links. Some of
these links will use proprietary HP software but others may use other tools such as
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• In depth knowledge of HP UCMDB, HP Asset Manager, HP Connect-It and some
knowledge of HP Service Manager (this product-specific knowledge may be
learned on the job if candidate has compatible experiences)
• Strong debugging skills
• Strong SQL experience
• Strong experience in Microsoft data mapping tools
• Scripting experience (for DDM-A discovery scripts and as a backup for monitoring
scripts)
• Understand network and discovery protocols (SNMP, WMI, etc)
• General knowledge of network devices and servers
• Ability to manage small to medium projects
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to do self-directed work
