Paul Kusuda honored at Water Bearer Awards
Paul Kusuda, community activist/leader and columnist for Asian Wisconzine,
was one of the honorees at the 2009 Club TNT-Village People Fall Water
Bearer Awards held October 22 at the Catholic Multicultural Center (St. Martin’
s House). Paul was recognized for his extraordinary contributions to the
Madison community for many many years as an advocate for social justice
and civil & human rights. A social worker by profession, Paul is continuosly
serving the community in his retirement years as a volunteer in some
organizations, taking the cudgels for the elderly and openly taking sides for
or against social issues that are controversial. Paul is an outstanding leader
in the Asian American community, and we are very proud of him.
Other awardees that day were: Drs. Eugene and Linda Farley, Colier McNair,
Joy Newmann, Romilia Schlueter, Paul Soglin and Myschelle Kober
