Wisconsin Tibetan Association Celebrates 18th Anniversary of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama's receiving the Nobel Peace Prize

MADISON, Wis., December 8, 2007 (AW) --  Today, the Wisconsin Tibetan Association celebrated this event at Eagle Heights Community Center. There were hundreds of Tibetans, young and old, with their families and friends, who enjoyed each other's company, highlighted their unique Tibetan culture through music (songs and dances), lots of food, and a reading of a communication from the Tibet-government in exile located in India. Wis. state legislator Joe Parisi and his family were special guests. Parisi delivered a brief but meaningful speech that affirmed his support of Tibetans' cause and recognition of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, as Tibet's leader.
