On July 19-24, 2008, His Holiness, the Dalai Lama (secular and spiritual leader of the Tibetan
peoples-in exile in India) visited Madison for the seventh time. Thousands of people all over the
United States came to listen to his teachings and to participate in the TENSHUG (Long Life
Celebration for His Holiness).
