Frameworkcooking World Official Launch Seminar

Master Chef Kum Ng (above far left) has developed a unique and innovative approach
to cooking and health called Frameworkcooking.

How does it differ from other cooking methods? Ng says that, “It is focused on
mastering the fine points of the three-model concept in creating "frames"' instead of
recipes and applying them to the targeted culinary or ethnic environment.”

Chef Ng applies his concepts daily at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics,
where patients and staff enjoy his cuisine in the hospital's cafeteria.

“Some chefs,” Ng says, “just want to impress by focusing on how the dish looks,
which only involves one element in the cuisine profile. My intention is not just to
impress, but also make sure that when you eat a dish cooked in good' oil to create an
interesting flavor, it has the appropriate nutritive value for you; that it will not
intoxicate you.”

To share his ideas with the world, Chef Ng has written a book called
Frameworkcooking. The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health,
in partnership with The University Book Store, has invited Chef Ng to present his
concepts at a seminar, which he did, on June 4. His book was also available for sale
at the event, along with a book signing. The entertainment was provided by Msster
Chef Ng's kid, seven-year old kid, Lucian.
