Rhythm and Booms!
by Lec Rebudiao
Look in the horizon...
the sky ablaze in red
yelllow, green,
blue, orange, crimson...
all the colors
you can imagine.
Now there's a flower
then there's a bear...
Oh! look up in the sky.
Fireworks dancing
celebrating life
and freedom.
Fire dancing
in tune to the music
of life.
Your new Madison Poet Laureate, Fabu, has a vision of all poets and their distinct
cultural voices being shared throughout Madison. This means that poems will be placed in
new places and spaces. Poets from all Asian ethnicities are invited to submit poems of 20
lines or less for possible publication in Asian Wisconzine magazine. This issue, Poet Fabu
introduces the poem “Rhythm and Booms!” by Lec Rebudiao.
Submissions may be sent to Fabu at Blkpoetess68@hotmail.com or to Asian
Wisconzine at heidipascual@ sbcglobal.net.
