Chinese Spring Fest in Madison

Colorful as the flowers of spring, the Chinese spring
festival brings so much happiness and hope in the
Chinese American community of Madison. The children
and youth are mainly the source of such joyful gatherings
at the Madison Fine Arts (MFA) Preschool on February 16
and at the Memorial Union Theater on February 18.
We salute Ping Huang, MFA teacher, for her extraordinary
ability to hone childrenÂ’s talents to the fullest; the leaders
of the UW-Chinese Students & Scholars Association and
the Madison Area Chinese Cultural Association (MACCO)
for giving our community a taste of Chinese culture every
year.
From dancing to singing, martial arts to playing various
musical instruments, fine arts to mathematics, drama to
scientific and business pursuits, there's no question that
the Chinese always leave that impression of extraordinary
discipline and confidence to succeed, whether or not they
are in the minority.
