WWOCN President JoAnn Moore was extremely glad to see a good turnout of members and guests at the group's annual fund-raiser on December 2 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Madison. Aside from business booths that invited participants to do their holiday shopping right there, the Silent Auction table was far from being "silent." There was a visible "sign-up competition" among bidders because of great auction items, all for a great cause! This year's program was so special with Sherry Lucille reading from her book, "Love Changes"; Anna Maria Manalo playing a violin solo; the D-Verse Singers led by Roger Cribbs singing wonderful acapella numbers; Nannette Dacumos with Beth Reyes leading a Holiday sing-along; and newly-elected Sheriff Roger Mahoney greeting the women "Happy Holidays!" Santa ":Agnes Cammer" Claus reported on the status of the WWOCN Scholarship Fund, and expressed satisfaction over the strength of WWOCN through the years. There is nothing more colorful and jolly than spending a special day with WWOCN! |
