Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Preserving our past while building for our future
     On January 18, 2010, the State of Wisconsin held its 30th Annual Tribute and Ceremony
honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year, as always, Wisconsin honored a few individuals
who have exemplified the values and dedication of Dr. King with the MLK Heritage awards and
a National Achievement award. The MLK Heritage awardees were: Sharyl Kato (Rainbow
Project Director); James Gramling (ret. Milwaukee Judge); and Jonathan Gramling (Publisher
& Editor, The Capital City Hues). The National Achievement award went to Toni Fay (TGF
Associates President). The event also featured Victor Woods as guest speaker, and several
musical performances by Jonathan Overby (Founder, AfricaSong); the MLK Celebration Choir;
Highway to Heaven band; Mt. Zion Children's Choir; Silent Praise dance by Perry Williams; and
the "I Have a Dream" excerpt reading by 5th Grader Jared Biddle.
     Asian Wisconzine would like to share our videos of this wonderful event to the world .
